Franklin Middle School offers rigorous STEAM experiences
Franklin Middle School begins the exciting transformation to an enhanced STEAM (Science,Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) magnet in Fall 2021. Located in Minneapolis’ Near North neighborhood,  Franklin’s updated facilities --  including a swimming pool -- offer students an opportunity to continue their education with a community pathway from elementary through high school. The magnet’s new cutting edge STEAM education will allow students to make the connection between the concepts learned in class and how those concepts apply to the real-world. In order for students to develop problem-solving skills, STEAM education starts with students mastering foundational skills, then challenges them to use their critical thinking skills to solve a variety of real-world problems by having a holistic STEAM curriculum in their classes and extracurricular activities.
