Dowling Community School offers a high-quality community school experience

A Department of Natural Resources School Forest site, Dowling Community is located in South Minneapolis’s Longfellow neighborhood on 20+ acres of land along the Mississippi River. In Fall 2021, Dowling became a community school serving nearby students and families. Those who attend Dowling will help shape the way the school reflects and exemplifies the culture and fabric of its community. Families can expect an empowering, welcoming environment for all. Dowling celebrates diversity and values it as essential in preparing all students for lives of social responsibility, active citizenship, environmental stewardship and academic achievement.

Minnesota Report Card Data

The Minnesota Report Card is a tool to help inform families and communities about their schools so they can make important decisions and meaningfully engage with schools and educators. However, Minnesota Report Card data only provides a partial snapshot of what the experience may be like at any given school. MPS recommends connecting directly with school leaders and communities through school tours, open houses and other events to gain a fuller understanding of how our schools support students and families.
