Franklin STEAM Middle School offers rigorous STEAM experiences

Franklin STEAM Middle School has a STEAM (Science,Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) focus. Located in Minneapolis’ Near North neighborhood,  Franklin’s updated facilities --  including a swimming pool -- offer students an opportunity to continue their education with a community pathway from elementary through high school. The citywide school has a cutting edge STEAM education that will allow students to make the connection between the concepts learned in class and how those concepts apply to the real-world. For students to develop problem-solving skills, STEAM education starts with students mastering foundational skills, then challenges them to use their critical thinking skills to solve a variety of real-world problems by having a holistic STEAM curriculum in their classes and extracurricular activities.

Minnesota Report Card Data

The Minnesota Report Card is a tool to help inform families and communities about their schools so they can make important decisions and meaningfully engage with schools and educators. However, Minnesota Report Card data only provides a partial snapshot of what the experience may be like at any given school. MPS recommends connecting directly with school leaders and communities through school tours, open houses and other events to gain a fuller understanding of how our schools support students and families.
