Andersen Community School lays a strong foundation for the future
 
Located in the heart of vibrant South Central Minneapolis’s Phillips neighborhood, Andersen United Community School will serve as home to a comprehensive middle school and the Dual Language Middle School program. Students at Andersen Community will help shape the way the school reflects, exemplifies and honors the culture and fabric of its community. Students in Andersen’s Dual Language program will continue their journey to proficiency in both Spanish and English with instruction in both languages. Andersen will support student growth by creating welcoming classrooms rich with high expectations. An Andersen education propels students forward to find success in high school and beyond.

Magnet Schools

Citywide magnet schools welcome students from all neighborhoods across Minneapolis. Magnet schools provide innovative programs focused on specific themes such as the Arts, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), Dual Language, Montessori, and Global Studies and Humanities.
