Northeast Community School offers a well-rounded education focused on the whole child

Located in the close-knit Northeast Minneapolis Audobon neighborhood, Northeast Community is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) school. Northeast builds upstanding citizens through a rigorous, socially conscious, culturally relevant curriculum that offers support for all students during one of the most challenging times in a student’s life -- middle school. Support is possible with the aid of two school counselors, two school social workers, a school psychologist, student deans at each grade level, associate educators for math and social emotional support, along with a mental health program for students and families. With a focus on self-respect and personal responsibility, Northeast staff and students value differences in the school population and the society in which we all live. A Northeast education makes sure students head to high school ready with 21st-century skills and able to make practical connections between their studies and the real world.
