Howe and Hiawatha Community Schools continue a tradition of excellence

Located in its namesake neighborhood in Southeast Minneapolis, Howe Community is a third- through fifth-grade school within walking distance of Minnehaha Fallsand 4 blocks from its kindergarten through second-grade counterpart, Hiawatha Community. Howe and Hiawatha maximize individual student potential through strategic use of technology, instruction according to student need, critical thinking, and high expectations within a nurturing and diverse community of learners. Strong partnerships and investments by the community, families and school staff ensure a quality education for all Hiawatha-Howe students.
