Lake Nokomis Keewaydin and Wenonah Community Schools value community and lifelong learning
Located in the quiet, residential Nokomis neighborhood, and walking distance from world-class lakes and parks, Lake Nokomis – Keewaydin Community School in Fall 2023 serves students in grades 2-5.  Housed on two campuses, Keewaydin has LNCS Wenonah Community School only one mile away as its grades K-1 counterpart.  Empowering every student to learn and grow every day, LNCS Keewaydin and Wenonah offer a broad elementary academic and social emotional program that brings out the best in all students. LNCS Keewaydin represents diverse cultures and experiences, which makes instruction possible in the meaning and value of community and the importance of lifelong learning. LNCS Keewaydin celebrates our neighborhood school culture and likes to be known as “a big city school with a small town heart.”

Minnesota Report Card Data

The Minnesota Report Card is a tool to help inform families and communities about their schools so they can make important decisions and meaningfully engage with schools and educators. However, Minnesota Report Card data only provides a partial snapshot of what the experience may be like at any given school. MPS recommends connecting directly with school leaders and communities through school tours, open houses and other events to gain a fuller understanding of how our schools support students and families.
