Sheridan Spanish Dual Language Magnet leads in language learning

Sheridan Spanish Dual Language Magnet, in the heart of the Sheridan neighborhood of Northeast Minneapolis, welcomes students from throughout the city. Sheridan Dual Language Magnet offers bilingual instruction with a particular focus on our students’ culture and experiences. Our program aims to make your student bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural while exploring their own identities and discovering their hidden potential and talents. Our school program commits to amplifying our students' voices and cultural backgrounds.

Our 90-10 program starts with a strong foundation in Spanish for the early ages and progressively incorporates more English instruction until students reach a 50-50 bilingual learning environment by 5th grade.

Citywide magnet schools welcome students from all neighborhoods across Minneapolis. Magnet schools provide innovative programs focused on specific themes such as the Arts, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), Dual Language, Montessori, and Global Studies and Humanities.
